Sperry, Jr., of Saranac Lake who is undergoing treatment at the Sampson Navy hospital where he has been a patient since his return from the Pacific area. He is a member of the Marine Corps and has been in service almost two years. He is the son of Mrs. Harlan F. Sperry of 4 Margaret street."
It was published a fourth time, with a caption reading "PFC. Harlan F. Sperry, Jr., of Saranac Lake, above, has been released from active service with the Marine corps. He entered the corps in March, 1944 and served in the Pacific theater. He is the son of Mrs. H. F. Sperry of Broadway."

Harlan F. Sperry, Jr. was a World War II veteranA member of the World War II - SL Class of 1945, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan F. Sperry of Broadway and 74 Main Street.

Harlan F. Sperry, Jr. age 43,  formerly of Saranac Lake,  died of heart failure on Dec.  7,  1969 in New York City. His  body was sent to Plattsburgh  and interment was completed  at 2. p. m., Wednesday, April  29 in Merrillsville. The Rev.  Donald H. Klob said the committal and the Delorm Funeral  Home of Peru conducted the service.
