SARANAC LAKE – Jeanette J. Falvey, 74, of Lake Clear died Saturday, June 6, 1998 at her home.

Born July 30, 1923 in Utica, she was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Wojdyla) Warchol.

A long-time resident of the area, Mrs. Falvey owned and operated Falvey's Hotel in Lake Clear Junction, along with her husband Harry Falvey, from 1954 to 1967. She was the postmaster of the Lake Clear Post Office from 1969 until 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Jim of Massena, Joe of Michigan, and John of North Carolina; three brothers, Frank and Warchol of New York City, Nick Warchol of Redfield, and Joe Warchol of Williamstown; a sister, Helene Gehring of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Harry, who passed away on May 28, 1966, Falvey was predeceased by three brothers, Steve, Edward and John Warchol, and a sister, Anne Bradt.

At Mrs. Falvey's request, calling hours and services were private. The Rev. Mark Rely officiated at the service.

Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, Lake Clear.

Friends wishing to remember Mrs. Falvey may make contributions to High Peaks Hospice in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements.
