Karl Eklund Dies Friday Afternoon At Little Neck, L. I.

Karl Eklund. 70, proprietor of Indian Springs Camp, popular Coreys summer resort, died Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Bernard, at Little Neck, L.I.

Mr Eklund had been in failing health for several months, and underwent an operation at the Saranac Lake hospital last July. Funeral services were held Monday at Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

A native of Sweden, Mr. Eklund was employed for some years as a chauffeur for S.A. Swenson at his Upper Saranac Lake estate, and at the Frew summer camp near Saranac Inn before, taking over the Indian Springs Camp at Coreys about ten years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gerda Eklund; a son, Carl Eklund, residing in California, and a daughter, Mrs. Bernard, at Little Neck.
