Alpine Hotel

The Alpine Hotel is a hotel and apartment building at 1479 Fruitvale Avenue. It was built in 1925 for Nicholas and Carl Bauhofer by California Builders Co. ¹

The building was constructed with Rip Van Winkle wall beds. ¹

In 1926, the hotel was robbed. The robbers subsequently held up a policeman, taking his pistol, nightstick, and handcuffs. ²
