Barney’s Gourmet Hamburgers is a Yupscale burger joint: kinda pricey, found in trendy locations, but also – bottom line – reliably good. It’s not the kind of place for dieters, though. The Barney's are very family oriented, especially those with small children. Not a place for quiet, intimate dining.
Barney's has a wide variety of dining options and almost everything can made vegetarian. Each of the burgers can be made with other meats- beef, turkey, chicken or salmon, or non-meat, veggie patty. This flexibility is very nice. Barney's also has a decent selection of meal-sized salads. There are also vegan items available. The fried things are very good and come in Very Big Portions which is good for sharing and good for people who don't like to share but like fried things. Shakes are good and big, too. Basically, traditional American food with the things Californians have come to expect.
