Bay Area Transit (1984) is a locally-made documentary about the history of transit in Oakland and the Bay Area. It was created in 1984 by KTVU reporter George Watson, and produced by Don McCuaig. It includes footage of legendary transit historians Harre Demoro and Ted Wurm.

The film blends the status of the (then) current-day BART system with looks at the amazing transit systems that existed around the Bay Area, with a definitely pointed question to BART: when will it live up to what was promised, and even begin to approach what existed c.1941.
