Oakland has two separate convention centers, although one of them is not currently operating. You are probably looking for information on one of the following:

  • Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center - This is the building near Lake Merritt that was formerly known as the Oakland Auditorium, and which served as the city's convention center until the next building was built.
  • Oakland Convention Center - This convention center, which opened in 19__ (this info is buried somewhere here on the Wiki), is immediately adjacent to the Oakland Marriott.
  • To further confuse the unwary, the Kaiser Center includes at least one auditorium.
