Fist of Flour Pizza

Fist Of Flour Pizza Company is a food truck featuring a mobile wood-fired pizza oven and a brick and mortar pizza place. Owner James Whitehead was one of the pioneers of the food truck movement at Art Murmur, before the city had a process in place for permitting food trucks.

Fist of Flour makes their own dough, sauce, etc. and makes pizzas fresh to order.

On January 15, 2014, Fist of Flour opened a brick and mortar restaurant called Doughjo in the Laurel District. They have no tables or seats and the first night, their oven broke, but they're working it out! (See blog for more info.) Specialties include the Funghi Deluxe, with criminis, spinach, garlic, tomato, fresh and aged mozzarella and arugula; and the Protesto, with Yukon Gold potato, arugula pesto, provolone, fresh & aged mozzarella, and sundried tomato. They're operating on limited hours for now, Wednesday to Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.
