The current Oakland Fire Station #3 is located at 1445 - 14th St. The original Fire Station #3 was at 727 Pine Street. The station needed to be relocated after the Loma Prieta earthquake to accommodate the new location of the I-880 replacement for the Cypress Structure, along with the new frontage road.
The fire station and Cypress Freeway Memorial Park occupy space that formerly was the site of the 14th Street off-ramp from the Cypress Structure.
