Scott Olsen (born c. 1988 in Wisconsin) is a Marine veteran and Oakland resident who was shot in the head by Oakland Police Officer Robert Roche with a less-lethal beanbag round on October 25, 2011 during an Occupy Oakland demonstration.

After serving in Iraq, Scott began speaking out against the Global War on Terror as a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War and Veterans For Peace. Scott was active with Occupy San Francisco throughout the month of October 2011, but came to support Occupy Oakland after their encampment was raided.

While he is still recovering from a serious brain injury, Scott sometimes attends political events.

On March 21, 2014, the city announced that they settled with Olsen for $4.5 million. 1
