Union Point Park is a park located at 2311 Embarcadero and opened in 2005. The Bay Trail bike path runs along it on one side [and the Embarcadero], and the estuary on the other. It is near the historic Cryer & Sons Boatyard and the bridge to Coast Guard Island. It's not a huge park, but it is unique. It features children's play structures with a marine theme, the "Sigame" sculpture, grassy areas, two parking lots, benches, bathrooms, and BBQ facilities.
The unusual spiral mound was created to encapsulate some of the toxic soil from the area instead of trucking it elsewhere.
