Winston's Bakery (circa 1950)
Winston's Bakery was located in the Piedmont Grocery at 4038 Piedmont Avenue during the 1940's, 50's and 60's. They featured the most delicious cakes, pastries, fresh bread and cookies, with charming bakery 'ladies' in crisp white uniforms handing out free cookies to the children who came shopping with their parents.
The Piedmont Grocery began sharing space in the front of the grocery store with Winston's Bakery on March 30, 1932.
