Maple Falls is one of two prominent waterfalls located in the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. Iis fed by Bridge Creek, and is about 40 to 50 feet tall. To get there take the Loma Prieta Grade Trail to the Bridge Creek Trail and follow it to the waterfall. It is a 6 to 7 mile round trip hike when the winter gate is open and a 8 to 9 mile hike when the gate is closed. The grade of the trails are mild, but the hike can become difficult for people when some very minor climbing is necessary to get through the Bridge Creek area.
