Orchard Supply Hardware, also known as OSH, is a San Jose, California based home and garden retailer.
It began as a cooperative formed by 30 farmers who banded together to buy farm supplies.
Sears bought Orchard Supply Hardware in 1996. In 2000 they sold 19+% share to Ares Management.
In 2012 Orchard Supply Hardware became an independent company. From 2013 to 2019 they were owned by Lowe's, In August 2018 it was decided to close all 99 stores nation-wide.
