WAMMfest is an annual festival celebrating the health benefits and advocating for the use of medicinal cannabis, sponsored by Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana.
WAMMfest was established in 2003 after the DEA raided the home of Mike and Valerie Corral, the founders of Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana the previous year. Agents removed the cannabis that was growing at the organization's property, and WAMMfest was part of an overall effort by the group to raise the community's morale after the damaging raid.
