The Veterans' Glass City SkywayThe Veterans' Glass City Skyway (formerly known as the Maumee River Crossing) opened to traffic on June 24, 2007. It is noted for being the largest single project ever undertaken by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Citizens of the area had been working with ODOT since April, 1999 on the design of the bridge.

A sculpture at the foot of the bridge celebrates the people who contributed to the creation of the bridge, with special focus on those who were injured or lost their lives during construction.
