Free Geek Twin Cities is a Non-Profit set up to work towards three primary goals, first is keep E-Waste out of landfills or other dumps, second is to provide education about computers and Open Source software, and third provide a means for those who are unable to afford a computer a way to earn one while assisting in the first two organizational goals.

We take donated computers, consumer electronics, and other devices that should not end up in a trash can, and recycle them.  The best way to recycle is to re-use, so if we can we test and try to sell or donate an item.  If not we break it down to less complex forms and send those resources to appropriate recycling vendors.

We have a space located in the heart of the twin cities at 2537 25th ave south, MPLS MN 55406.  (that is basically the northwest corner of 26th and 26th, across the bowling alley parking lot)

We are open for volunteers to learn and earn Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday noon until 5, and our thrift store is open Wednesday through Sunday Noon to 5pm
