is a website that allows users to report and track gas prices around the United States and Canada.  GasBuddy was started in June 2000 by Dustin Coupal and Jason Toews in the Twin Cities area.  In 2004 it was registered with the State of Minnesota as GasBuddy Organization Inc.  The Principal Executive Office is located in Brooklyn Park.

GasBuddy operates nearly 250 websites that track gasoline and diesel prices across all 50 United States and most Canadian provinces.  Tens of thousands of gas prices are updated daily, with many updated every few hours.  Each day thousands of new users sign up for GasBuddy and averages nearly 1 million unique monthly visitors.

Users are able to track and update gas prices online at (and a number of localized websites, IE:, via mobile phones, and desktop widgets.  Users earn points for reporting gas prices and can use the points to enter into a weekly drawing for a $250 pre-paid gas card. The GasBuddy community and "collective helping" also draw people into participating.

GasBuddy also offers discussion forums, historic gas prices, gas trends, fuel saving tips, Gas "heat" maps, and more.
