What do you know about longtime Trenton resident Claud O. Owen?

Owen was born in Maple Rapids, Michigan in 1880 and moved to Trenton in 1915.

Shortly after settling in Trenton, Owen became the manager of Owen Pharmacy and continued to be manager prior to his retirement in 1955.

He was also a member of the Trenton Public Schools board from 1921 to 1933 filling the office of President and Treasurer as well as the office of Trustee.

Claud O. Owen Elementary School was named after him. It opened in 1958, three years after his retirement.

Owen died on December 13, 1965.
