The Star Lincoln Park 8 provided first-run films in the Lincoln Park Shopping Center. It was in operation as part of Star Theaters, based in Grand Rapids, from May 1988 to 2003 and featured 2,700 seats. This space was torn down in 2018 along with the rest of the shopping center minus Sears.

Timeline

The initial entertainment experience of seeing a movie is enhanced at the Lincoln Park theater by high-tech design ideas and technical innovations, and it all begins as soon as patrons enter the lobby. The custom-designed silver ceiling of the lobby is arched and lighted by 400 individual light bulbs, according to a Loeks spokesman. Checkerboard tile and neon lighting complement the luxurious setting.
