Agent Ribbons was a well-liked Sacramento music act that is now based in Austin, Tex. The band is fronted by two women, Natalie Gordon and Lauren Hess, though they often incorporate other members into the band. They appeared at Davis venues such as Delta of Venus, The Coffeehouse, and Sophia's Thai Kitchen, and Sacramento venues like Luigi's Fungarden and Cesar Chavez Plaza. They played with many local and touring acts, ones including Katie Delwiche, Thao Nguyen, and Camera Obscura. They received airplay on a variety of KDVS shows, including Mike Leahy's Cool as Folk. In addition to their own discography, they have been featured on compilations such as STUFF off Compost Modern Art Recordings. They have resided on labels such as Antenna Farms Records; see the label's article on the band. They have played festivals such as SXSW. Former local act Chelsea Wolfe created at least one of the band's music videos, one that was entered into The California Aggie's music video contest of 2010.
