At night the city is brightly lit by the many casinos.

Reno is the third-largest city in Nevada (Behind Las Vegas and Henderson), and a popular destination for Northern California gamblers. Reno is about 2 hours driving distance from Davis (approximately 144 miles).

The Reno region is one of the closest prostitution venues for Davis and Sacramento residents, but prostitution in Reno itself (as with all the larger counties in Nevada) is illegal. Still, visiting Reno can be an educational experience for any Davis native, with its tall illuminated buildings that waste ridiculous amounts of electricity and mediocre public transportation.

Also home to the University of Nevada Reno, the first of Nevada's two universities.
