On September 18, 2013 the San Antonio community will celebrate the August, 2012 closing of the National Lodge. The National Lodge was a long time problem site in the area, notable for allowing prostitution.
The East Bay Asian Youth Center is organizing a walk and presentation from 6:00-7:30 pm at 1711 International Blvd (the former site of the hotel).
The event will celebrate the closing and learn about new uses of the buildings. Mayor Jean Quan, Interim Police Chief Sean Whent, Councilmember Pat Kernighan, City Attorney Barbara Parker and Area 3 Commander Ricardo Orozco have been invited.
