Henry ("Harry") Anderson Lafler was a literary editor, advertising manager, and the author of the extensive Statistical, Industrial and Market Survey of Oakland for the Oakland Tribune in 1920.

He also worked as a manager for Wickham Havens, Inc, a real estate development firm in Oakland.1

The Survey was the suggestion of K. Leroy Hamman, President of the Oakland Advertising Club, and was overseen by both the club and the Oakland Chamber of Commerce.
