Bay Federal Credit Union is a local, not-for-profit financial cooperative that offers the same basic services as a bank - savings and checking accounts, car loans, home loans, credit and debit cards, online banking, and more.
Bay Federal members can do their banking at any of the Credit Union's seven Santa Cruz County branches, online through their website, and over the phone at 831.479.6000.
ATM withdrawals can be made without a fee at over 28,000 ATMs across the country through the CO-OP ATM network. Many of the CO-OP ATMs also accept deposits. 7-Eleven ATMs are also part of this network and are free as well. Some 7-Eleven ATMs accept deposits.
Bay Federal membership is open to anyone who lives, works, volunteers, worships, or attends school in Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties.
Every account at Bay Federal is insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration). This insurance is just like the FDIC insurance at banks. That means that your money is just as safe at a credit union as it is at a bank.
