Bartlett Avenue runs east-west between McKinley Avenue and 3rd Street in south-central Woodland. It is situated just south of Pendegast Street and just north of Marshall Avenue. From east to west, it intersects Cleveland Street, Elm Street, College Street, Hyman Alley1st Street, Bike Alley2nd Street, and Jake Harper Alley.

Bartlett Avenue may be named after Bartlett Pears, which would make it one of a great many of Woodland's streets named after plants.

Bartlett Avenue east of Cleveland Street has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include three invasive weed species: Purple-leaf Plum/Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera)Flowering Pear/Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana), and Chinese Tallow Tree (Triadica sebifera). Other non-native tree species on Bartlett Avenue include Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum), Red Maple (Acer rubrum), Common Hackberry (Celtis occidentalis), Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis), Honey Locust (Gleditsia triacanthos), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), European Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), and London Plane (Platanus × hispanica).
