Drummond Avenue is a residential street that runs north from the intersection of Chiles Road and Cowell Boulevard in South Davis. It was named for John and Lewis Drummond, early area landowners who owned farms south and west of Davis. Both had homes in Davis (John Drummond at 320 I Street, and Lewis Drummond at 216 D Street).
Drummond Avenue used to go straight through (to and past Montgomery), but when the new school was proposed, Danbury Street (which had been a dead end with a circle of trees in the middle) was extended and changed to the current configuration. Drummond Avenue was truncated, and a small remnant (Drummond South) connects to Danbury; the rest of it (south on there) was re-named Danbury.
The W Line runs along the northern part of this road.
