Waterway
Gallighan Slough starts near a bend in the road of Buena Vista Drive. It gets larger as the ravine goes lower in elevation and joins Harkins Slough. There is enough vegetation and trees to obscure the view even from the nearby farm roads. It cannot be seen from any public access area.
The nearest city is Watsonville.
History
Named for a farmer in the area. According to voting records, his name was spelled "Bartley Galligan."
