The main structure of the Old Sash Mill was built in 1906 on what was pasture and orchard land of the Santa Cruz Mission. At the time the mill was steam powered. In 1973 the property was converted to a mixed-use commercial center by Leland and Marian Zeidler. There have been many businesses located in the Old Sash Mill, including the very popular movie theater in the 1970s and 80s.
