Piedmont Pines is a neighborhood of Oakland. Its neighborhood association (www.piedmontpines.org) calls it "a scenically beautiful, diverse community dedicated to quality schools, neighborhood safety and living in harmony with our natural environment."
It was originally developed as the Smith Reserve, once owned by "Borax" Smith. The Realty Syndicate began selling lots in 1926. 1
