The Brookroom serves fine American/California cuisine for dinner five nights a week in addition to Sunday brunch. It was added to the Brookdale Lodge under the ownership of Dr. F. K. Camp in the early 1920s. The dining room, designed by architect and landscaper Horrace Cotton, is giant and was built around Clear Creek which flows through it. A feature in Ripley's Believe it or Not then helped usher in what is known as the heyday of the business, which became the second most popular resort in California for the next 20 years, and a world famous attraction.
