History

It is most notable as a slow, small, stream flowing through The Brookroom, which is the main dining room of the Brookdale Inn & Spa that was built over it. After passing through the resort, it flows under Highway 9 on its way to the San Lorenzo River. During extreme rain, it has been known to flood (Most notably, December of 1955).

From 1991 to 1998, there were improvements made to make the mouth of Clear Creek better for fish habitation.
